Leongatha Trad Shoot April 18

A fantastic day at Leongatha with Jasmin winning the Junior 3D, Ros winning the Ladies Clout and Ben winning the Junior Clout. A new experience for John Korvin who managed to claim the ORANGE CAT.
Other Yarra Valley Archers competing were Rob Bruton, Ian Simmonds and Jayden Crozier. Thanks to Steve and Gayle Crozier for scoring the 3D round.

State Short Range 2010

At the State Short Range at Moorabbin on March 21, Ros Greig won another State Title in the Masters
Women's Barebow Recurve with John Korvin picking up a Bronze in the Men's Longbow in his first
tournament.

Promising to be bigger and better than ever the
2010 Yarra Valley Hot Rod Show will be held at
Yarra Valley Archery Park on Sunday March 14.
This event is a fundraising day for Maroondah Breast Cancer Clinic,
Yarra Junction Scouts and Yarra Valley Archers.
Coordinated by the Hot Rod Hoodlums this years event features
five rockabilly bands, trade stalls and kids amusements, and food and refreshments
from 9am - 5pm.
Entry is $5 or $15 for a family.
Great value for a great day out!

Medieval Festival May 22/23=Hawkwoods Feast & Faire

Yarra Valley Archery Park will be hosting a Medieval Festival on the weekend of May 22/23.
A feature of the weekend will be a Medieval Feast on the Saturday night.
The White Company will be coordinating the weekend which will feature Archery events ,workshops,
combat and tournament. There will be traders and events on both Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets for the Feast are available from Michelle Barraclough, 9 Bourke St, Essendon.
Camping is available on the weekend so come along and experience the Medieval lifestyle.

New State Target Champion

Ros Greig shooting her new bow won the State Masters Barebow Recurve Title
at Morwell on the weekend of Feb 13/14.
Ros's next State event is the State Short Range at Moorabbin on March 21st which will also be
the first AV tournament for new member John Korvin.
John will be competing in the Longbow event.

Ros Greig competing in the Masters Barebow Recurve at the Moorabbin tournament established a new tournament record of 670.
Well done Ros!
Ros, who is doing a fantastic job as Club President, is also competing at Waverley tomorrow (Nov 8) and don't be surprised if she returns to the Yarra Valley with another Gold Medal and tournament record.
Just goes to show that lots of practice has rewards.
